
Hopefully 2021 will be a great Year for persons in the Creative Industry as the Plateau State Microfinance Development Agency (PLASMIDA) has assured the citizens of allocating quality attention to the industry in order to achieve a sustainable economic growth in the State.
The Agency also gave the citizens it’s words that it is fully committed to making it’s citizens useful to themselves and the entire society by nurturing and harnessing the good potentials of the citizens.
Mr. Haggai disclosed that the COVID-19 pandemic has been a great challenge to the global economy, and to bring the economy back to it’s feet, there is need to adopt creative techniques in production of goods and rendering of services.
He also acknowledged that the state possesses potentials that needs to be showcased on various online platforms, for much to be achieved.
He also emphasized on the activities of online Practitioners to be unique and Border less as he describes them to be critical stakeholders to the economy.
The Director General also assured the Association that his agency are ready to partner with them and to ensure that the Association is carried along in all components of its activities
He pointed out that, in order to avoid brain drain in the State, the need to bring the potentials in the creative industry together must be upheld.
And of course, to develop the State’s economy, he said, “there is need to thrive and provide more job opportunities in the State”.
He also spoke on the proposed Creative Industry Fund which will be to tackle the challenges faced by Creatives in the State.
“The creative industry is a crucial sector in the State hence the greater attention we are to give it”
The Association in general commended the agency’s entrepreneurship development, financial pledges and skill acquisition programmes.
