Jubilant scenes in Egypt as Liverpool ace Sadio Mane is crowned CAF African footballer of the year thereby beating close rivals Mohammed Salah and Riyad Marhez both of Egypt and Algeria respectively.
Asisat Oshoala was also named African Women’s Player of the Year for the fourth time, same number of awards as ex-star Perpetua Nkwocha.
She polled 351 votes, 30 more than Cameroonian forward, Ajara Nchout and Thembi Kgatlana, who had 247 votes.
